2014 “LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL ART AND MUSIC FESTIVAL”, Las Vegas, NV

In 2014, Alterwitz facilitated a site-specific immersive art installation for LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL ART AND MUSIC FESTIVAL, a 3-day festival drawing 87,200 people.

Through photography, Alterwitz embraces science and technology to expose the fragility of our bodies. Although human bodies are impermanent, she remains in awe of human persistence and recognizes that at the most challenging times in life, people find the ability to reach beyond struggles and fears. This installation of “Life is…Mind, Body and Spirit”  sheds light on the beauty and fear that complicate human lives and the search for solid ground.
